Joining the good fight.......

To support this terms learning Year 2 enjoyed a Suffragette workshop.

During the workshop the children

• Learnt about the origins of the suffragist and Suffragette movement

• Made their own protest plackards

• Explored opposition to the movement and what was done to counter this

• Created a timeline of relevant events that led women to get the vote

• Learnt a song sung at Suffragette gatherings

• Attended a "rally" where they sang, chanted and marched
