On Monday 6^th March, Year Six attended the Junior Citizens event at Epsom Downs Racecourse. During the afternoon, the pupils had mini workshops  to raise their awareness of potential threats and dangers, in a fun and interactive way in order to best prepare them for their later lives where they have greater responsibility for keeping themselves and others safe. Please find some quotes from the children about the trip:

Ahil: "It was great fun learning about things you shouldn't do and I received great guidance from the workshop leaders."

Lauren: "I was able to ask questions to the nurse about ways to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle."

Sophia: "I really enjoyed learning CPR and when I am older, I would like to utilise these skills in a  career to help others."
