Last week Year 3 visited Butser Ancient Farm where the children enjoyed a variety of activities learning about life in the Stone Age and Iron Age. Whilst there they sat in a stone age hut on animal skins around a fire, made bracelets by spinning wool, had a go at wattling (fence building) and dug for bones. Then this week in school they had a Stone Age Workshop which helped bring this period of history to life. They should all be experts now!
